An elevated trade show booth for a burgeoning plant-based beverage brand

THE BRIEF
Elmhurst asked us to design and build a new 20’ x 30’ trade show booth, an upgrade to a previous smaller booth design we had built for them. After several years working with the plant-based beverage brand on event spaces and activations, we were excited to take on our largest Elmhurst project yet.

CHALLENGES
The new booth would need to include large sampling counters and display shelving to support the brand’s growing line of plant-based beverages, as well as designated areas for meetings and storage. Additionally, the design would need to be modular to allow for 20’ x 30’ and 20’ x 20’ configurations.

SOLUTION
A U-shaped counter with 3 sampling stations formed the centerpiece of the booth, with a walk-in storage closet and a private meeting room tucked behind. Deep green and white walls, marble finish countertops, trim details, and maple shelving were chosen to elevate the space and give the feel of an upscale coffee shop.

A refined space design

The intent of the design was to take showgoers out of the trade show venue and into a more fitting environment for sampling Elmhurst’s delicious, nutritious beverages. The look and feel of the booth was inspired by an upscale coffee shop, with details like crown molding, picture frame trim, brass lighting fixtures, and marble finish countertops all coming together to create an elevated experience for booth visitors.

Concept development

During the design process, we experimented with different ways of creating the desired coffee shop effect. Early concepts explored alternate layouts, details, and finishes, ultimately leading us to the final design.

See it in action

Now in its third year at Expo West, we’re happy to say the booth is still going strong and features heavily in this reel posted by Elmhurst after the event.
