Roll Recovery
Building the perfect venue to debut a new line of recovery footwear
THE BRIEF
Roll Recovery reached out to Humid for help with launching their new line of recovery footwear. Their main needs were a retail fixture program for retailers to showcase the new product and a trade show experience to present the new line alongside their existing products at The Running Event in Austin, TX.
CHALLENGES
Roll Recovery was entering a category already dominated by a few key players, so they needed to make a big impression at launch. The look and feel of the retail fixtures would need to be premium while staying within the budget.
SOLUTION
We tackled the retail fixtures first, establishing a design language that would scale to the larger trade show booth structure. For the booth, we presented 3 unique concepts, ultimately settling on one with a monolithic brand tower as the focal point.

Retail Displays
Roll Recovery’s retail display fixtures had to fit a lot of functionality into a small footprint. Each display has branding and merchandising space, as well as lifestyle imagery, product highlighters, and tech stories to educate consumers.
We evolved the brand’s existing design language, choosing a palette of black, aluminum, and wood finishes for a premium look and feel. Details like dimensional logos, screen printed peg caps, and easily swappable magnetic graphics tied the displays together.
In total we developed 4 retail displays; a large and small floor display, and a large and small wall kit, providing flexibility for dealers to merchandise the new footwear.

Trade Show Booth
We presented 3 unique options for the booth layout. Each option aimed to create an open space that met Roll Recovery’s functional needs for the event. The main priority was highlighting the new footwear with product displays, informational graphics, and plenty of seating for try-ons. The brand’s existing product line was also integrated into the booth.
The chosen direction had a monolithic brand pillar as its centerpiece, which featured messaging, product displays, and storage all in one structure. The logo area at the top of the pillar functioned as a billboard to draw attention to the booth from afar.
The retail floor displays were utilized in the booth layout, adding more product area while also allowing the Roll Recovery team to sell in the displays themselves, in addition to the product.
