In anticipation of the release of Shift MX Blue Label, their most premium set of motocross gear, Shift MX reached out to our team to design a high-end display to let their gear stand out in a sea of products. With a limited run of product hitting dealers around the holidays, they wanted to build 20 units to ship out to their top performing accounts.
The Shift MX brand had recently gone through an overhaul. Our team dug deeper into the new brand direction prior to developing any concepts. We also studied the new product line to pull out any design cues that could be carried through to support the brand story at retail. Since there were limited sku’s available, we decided to develop a two-sided display. The front featured the product story and the back featured a shopable product display. Our team selected premium finishes for the material palette. This included a mix of high-gloss and matte black powder coat finishes, acrylic, stainless steel, and a custom wood finish that was pressure washed to create texture and painted with a silver metallic finish. We also developed a custom laser cut pattern. This pattern wrapped around the front, side, and rear of the formed sheet metal panels.
In addition to the creative, our team handled all of the design for fabrication, CAD modeling, drawings, material sourcing, fabrication, finishing, assembly, and logistics.
